About The Position
We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Analyst IV to join our growing team in New Orleans. This advanced-level role is ideal for a GIS professional with strong technical expertise, proven project experience, and the ability to independently drive complex geospatial tasks. As a GIS Analyst IV, you will support a wide range of projects across the United States, providing advanced analysis, data management, workflow development, and quality oversight.
This position offers opportunities to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the development of best practices, standards, and innovative GIS solutions that support our clients’ operational and strategic needs.

Essential Job Functions
- Oversee large, multi-source datasets—ensuring proper data structure, integrity, metadata management, and compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
- Create and maintain GIS data models, data schemas, and project-specific geodatabases.
- Establish and enforce data management standards and best practices within project teams.
- Serve as a technical lead for GIS tasks, coordinating with project managers, engineers, planners, and external stakeholders.
- Support project scheduling, workflow planning, and progress tracking for GIS activities.
- Ensure GIS components of projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with client expectations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, GIS, Geoscience, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5-7 years of progressively responsible GIS experience in consulting, engineering, planning, or related industries.
- Strong proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Software
- Demonstrated experience with advanced spatial analysis, data modeling, and geoprocessing.
- Experience supporting or leading GIS components of multidisciplinary projects.
- Strong understanding of geospatial data standards, metadata, and regulatory data requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks independently with minimal oversight.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience supporting clients or project stakeholders.
- Ability to mentor junior analysts and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
