About Us
Pond Doctors / House of Koi is not a typical pet store. We specialize in high-end Japanese koi, pond systems, and aquaculture. Our retail store serves both hobbyists and serious collectors, and we take pride in providing real knowledge—not just selling products.
This is a hands-on environment where you will learn about koi, pond care, and aquatic systems.
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable Retail Associate to support daily store operations and assist customers.
This role works directly under a Store Lead, so your main responsibility is to execute tasks efficiently, stay productive, and maintain standards throughout the day.
This is an active, hands-on job—not a sit-down position.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with purchases and basic questions
- Safely catch, handle, and bag Japanese koi and tropical fish
- Maintain cleanliness of tanks, floors, and work areas
- Restock shelves and help organize inventory
- Answer phone calls and assist with basic inquiries
- Operate the register and process transactions
- Assist with preparing fish and supplies for local and shipped orders
- Follow direction from Store Lead and complete daily tasks

Experience with fish is a plus, but not required. We will train you.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift 50 lbs (bags of food, water, etc.)
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors in heat when needed
