What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Officer position at PONCE BANK?
Mortgage World Bankers, a Division of Ponce Bank is now hiring remote and hybrid Mortgage Loan Originators in the following States: New York & New Jersey! You will be responsible for proactively identifying, developing and maintaining a quality network of business relationships that serves as a source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities.
As a Mortgage Loan Officer your primary responsibilities include:
- Deliver world class customer service
- Achieve sales and referral goals
- Develop and expand customer relationships in order to contribute towards the teams and your individual success
- Desire to maximize personal productivity, self motivation to achieve production goals
Qualifications
- Experience in residential mortgage sales
- Two plus years of retail residential mortgage sales experience
- Documented residential mortgage loan volume in the past 12 months of $12 million (minimum)
- Established relationships with local referral partners
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, across a variety of audiences
- Mortgage Loan Originator must meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including, but not limited to successful completion of the required background checks and have an active NMLS license
- Multilingual a plus

Salary Range:
Estimated annual earnings range from $50,000 to $120,000, depending on experience and performance. This position offers a base draw against commissions, meaning a fixed amount is paid regularly and reconciled against earned commissions.
- Base Draw: A regular advance paid to provide income stability while commissions accrue.
- Commission: Earned based on loan volume and performance metrics.
- Total Compensation: Includes base draw plus commissions; high performers may exceed the top of the stated range.
