Qualifications:
Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate in Special Education or related field.

CPI Certification


Job Goal: Provide support at the site and district level to ensure appropriate behavior modification interventions are implemented to maximize student learning.


Employment Terms:
10 month Contract

Generally - 7 Hour 20 Minute Day, Exclusive of a (30) Minute Duty Free Lunch


FLSA Classification:
Exempt

Evaluation: Annually by Site Principal

Regular Requirements:
Stand for extended periods; twist at the neck and trunk; bend at the waist; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; reach with hands and arms overhead, above shoulder and horizontally; lift/move up to 100 pounds; handle objects and tools with hands and operate equipment; repetitive use of fingers and hands to operate equipment


Occasional Requirements:
Ability to administer CPR and First Aid


Visual Requirements:
Close, color, peripheral, depth perception, ability to adjust focus


Hearing/Speaking Requirements:
Adequate to exchange information


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Implements behavior modification techniques with students who have needs for behavior support at any site.
  • Assists site principals and teachers with behavior modification interventions.
  • Assists site CART Teams in designing appropriate interventions for students referred with behavioral deficiencies.
  • Provides ideas and support with the development and implementation of student behavior plans.
  • Monitors progress of student behavior plans goals.
  • Complies with all Individualized Education Plans.
  • Carries an IEP caseload and provides services as needed if employee has credentials. (not required)
  • Uses formative and summative data to guide instruction and monitor progress
  • Monitors student progress toward IEP goals.
  • Monitors student behavior in areas outside of the classroom, during lunch, recess, bus time, general education classes, and school assemblies.
  • Prepares and timely submits all required reports and evaluations for each assigned student.
  • Completes all required special education paperwork in a timely manner to meet compliance deadlines if caseload is carried.
  • Attends and participates in all required meetings and conferences, including professional development and planning meetings.
  • Maintains complete and accurate student records, including attendance, performance and discipline records.
  • Provides professional and regular feedback to students, staff and parents, ensuring compliance with all laws and district policies and procedures.
  • Regularly participates in appropriate professional development opportunities, Including behavior modification training/education.
  • Complies with all federal, state and local laws, and board policies and procedures.
  • Utilizes professional behavior in all school-related interactions.
  • Maintains contact with parents and/or students via phone or written communications.
  • Performs all other tasks as supervisor may assign.

Salary : $40,662
