Qualifications: Master's Degree in School Psychology or Equivalent
Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate as a School Psychologist
Job Goal: Apply principles of educational psychology, developmental psychology, clinical psychology, community psychology, and applied behavior analysis to meet children's and adolescents' behavioral health and learning needs in a collaborative manner with educators and parents.
Employment Terms: 10 Month Contract
Generally – 7 Hour 20 Minute Day, Exclusive of a (30) Minute Duty Free Lunch
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Evaluation: Annually by Director of Special Services

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducts extensive psychological and/or educational examinations of referred students.
- Participates in conferences when referred students are involved, or as requested.
- Serves as a resource person for school personnel concerning all types of disabilities.
- Interprets diagnoses to school personnel, other concerned professionals, parents and students.
- Makes recommendations on ways to assist a student referred to him/her for examination.
- Conducts functional behavior assessments.
- Provides school-based interventions such as assisting schools with problems which have been addressed by the staff with minimal success.
- Provides individual and group counseling with students that have been determined by the counselor to have a serious level of problems requiring more experienced counseling techniques. Some cases may be referred to other agencies.
- Serves as a member of the crisis intervention team and provides appropriate services as necessary.
- Provides in-service to school staff on a variety of topics related to the psychological needs or disturbances of students.
- Participates in continuing education through workshops and training with a focus on children and families.
- Performs all other tasks as supervisor may assign.
