Commercial Tire Technician

This technician will perform a variety of tire, maintenance, repair, and mounting/dismounting tasks on commercial vehicles and other heavy vehicles based on experience. Prior experience in tire service is preferred but not required.  We will train the right person.  At Pomp's, we value the opportunities to advance our employee's skills and positions at any level and work to support your development as a Tire Technician.     Job Responsibilities:   Mounting, dismounting and replacing tires in commercial vehicles  Troubleshoot customer tire needs  Inspect tires and vehicles for additional problems  Use basic hand tools, tire tools, air wrench, and other essential tools to perform the job  Maintain clean work environment and equipment  Additional tasks as assigned by manager  Job Requirements:  Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass pre-employment driver’s file  TIA Certifications desired or willing to obtain  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision  Ability to perform physical aspects of job  High School Diploma or equivalent preferred  Basic automotive skills and general mechanical knowledge preferred  Ability to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers  Ability to read and verify work order information  Ability to wear personal protective equipment  Physical Demands:  Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds regularly, and over 100 pounds occasionally  Ability to work in a fast paced, continually changing environment  Ability to multi-task  Frequent standing, twisting, bending, stooping, crouching, and crawling  Frequent use of fingers and hands to grasp items, frequent reaching above shoulder  Ability to visually inspect tires and vehicles to assess problems and make repairs   We offer competitive pay and a great benefits package.
