Pomeroy Technologies is seeking to fill a TPF Mainframe Computer Operator(1099 Contract) in our Phoenix, AZ location. This position is a day shift position 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Job Description
Provide operational support for TPF systems and related environments, ensuring stability, performance, and compliance with documented processes. This includes incident and change handling, system monitoring, and DR Sustained Resilience activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Handle incidents and changes using ServiceNow, including creating, updating, transferring, and approving tickets
- Monitor TPF systems and related environments using tools such as TSO, Netcool, and SuperVision.
- Perform system operations including IPL, VM backups, tape management, and job execution (manual and automated).
- Execute monthly system restores and participate in DR Sustained Resilience exercises.
- Access and utilize SharePoint Procedure Library and other documentation repositories for operational tasks.
- Collaborate with support teams and escalate issues as needed through Slack channels and vendor processes.
- Participate in weekly TPF meetings and maintain awareness of critical jobs, SLAs, Changes and system states.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Proficiency in TPF commands, VM operations, HMC and related system structures (DASD, ODRV, STIM tables).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (TSO, Netcool) and automation tools (OPSTAT). Ability to execute scripts during changes.
- Understanding of DR Sustained Resilience processes and ability to execute SR scripts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
- High School diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
