Desktop Support Technician – Middletown, NJ
12 Month Contract | Up to $25/hr
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to join our team in Middletown, NJ for a long-term contract role. In this position, you will provide on-site IT support including installation, repair, and maintenance of hardware and software systems for corporate users. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent technical skills, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently in the field.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site field support for installation, repair, and servicing of IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues on Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS devices.
- Investigate and resolve complex installation and maintenance issues.
- Train customers on the operation and maintenance of systems and equipment.
- Escalate issues to appropriate personnel and coordinate follow-up testing.
- Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams on technical matters.
- Analyze trends in system issues and recommend solutions.
- Document user issues, resolutions, and inventory transactions with accuracy.
- Maintain service parts inventory and ensure proper recordkeeping.
- Balance multiple priorities to meet individual and team productivity goals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5 years of field support or field service technician experience.
- Experience with corporate hardware, software, and IT equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
