Position Overview:

We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our growing team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective production. The Process Engineer often collaborates with other engineering disciplines to integrate product design with production capabilities

This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on process improvement initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate innovative manufacturing methods with product design and operational goals.

Essential Duties:

• Works with manufacturing and technical personnel to optimize processes to ensure safety, quality, manufacturability, productivity and efficiency. Observes processes and develops innovative solutions to solve problems. 

• Calculates production costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and managing budgets related to manufacturing operations. 

• Generates Part Numbers, BOMs, and Routers under Revision control. 

• Provides clear and concise documented standard operating procedures on key processes. Assists in training manufacturing personnel in SOP’s and providing technical support and coaching. 

• Assists in the development, calculation, and utilization of key reliability and productivity metrics to measure operational performance. 

• Leads Continuous Improvement Projects, Problem Solving Events, and Corrective Action / Preventative Action Plans. Applying lean manufacturing methodologies like Kaizen and Six Sigma to eliminate waste and improve overall efficiency. 

• Creates and maintains a work environment that is safe, ethical, goal oriented and team based. 

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering (ABET-accredited program required).

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of direct experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in adhesives, chemical blending, and packaging is highly preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting and project management skills. 
• Successful in both team and individual settings. 
• Advanced PC and Office365 skills. 
• Experience with ERP systems. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Ability to work with minimal supervision once fully trained.   
• Self-directed; ability to make day-to-day decisions independently. 
• Thrives working in a small, innovative team environment. 
• Detail-driven individual with emphasis on accuracy with the ability to see the broader picture. 
• Professional business acumen: ability to interact and influence all levels within the organization. 
• Ability to travel 5%.

Physical demands:

• Requires moderately strenuous physical activity at a sustained level over the course of a shift. 
• Require ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds on a regular basis using assistive devices for moving materials greater than 50 pounds.    
• Static Strength for lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying required.  
• Trunk Strength using the lower back and stomach required. 
• Multilimbed coordination using arms and/or legs together while sitting, standing, or lying down required. 

The cash compensation range for this role is $85,000 to $115,000 , depending on experience (DOE)(including additional earning potential through profit sharing)
