What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemical Compounder position at POLYVENTIVE LLC?
Summary: Chemical Compounder, compounding experience need only apply.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; however, other duties may be assigned.
Compound batches and follow instructions provided by batch tickets and or Supervision.
- Ability to wear a respirator and proper PPE as required by the job and remain clean shave as well as adhere to the hair/grooming policy as requirement for wearing a respirator for proper fit.
- Ensure that attention to detail and the quality of the product is adhered to
- Ability to move controls to adjust and operate equipment/valves to fill totes and drums that the flow of liquids/products through equipment is being followed to specified directions, according to knowledge of equipment and processes.
- Routinely inspect equipment for leaks or other hazards to check for production and equipment malfunctions
- Responsible for adhering to the required PPE and safety guidelines
- Participate in inventory counting
- Ability to work the hours as specified and as needed, standing for long periods of time on the production floor under extreme conditions of hot or cold temperatures on the production floor
- Package materials into a variety of containers per customer specifications
- Responsible for ensuring equipment is returned to its proper place
- Ensure that quality is up to required standards
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
To successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to perform each key responsibility in a satisfactory manner through individual effort or effective and appropriate collaboration. Additionally, the well-qualified candidate will have the following education and experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- Basic math skills and attention to detail/quality
- The ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Be able to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Hazmat certification is a plus
- Be certified in proper forklift use and safety
- Must remain clean shaved as a requirement for the position for proper fit for respirator
- Strong observation skills and willingness to consult with others to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Ability to deal positively with changing priorities
- Good interpersonal/communications/team skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50LBs
- Ability to maneuver and go up and down stairs
- Ability to negotiate and maneuver on slippery floors
Work Environment:
Works and travels throughout plant environment of varied temperatures and humidity, and wears personal protective equipment, as required.
Various operations in the plant generate noise, dust, vapor and fumes in the normal course of production. The Company has been and is committed to eliminate these conditions to the extent possible through the application of design engineering. The Company also provides a variety of safety equipment to keep all associates safe and within OSHA standards. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
