Job Description:
Polytech Industrial, Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Painting and Coatings Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for providing accurate and timely estimates for various industrial painting and coatings projects. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications, drawings, and other documents to prepare accurate estimates for materials, labor, and equipment costs related to industrial painting and coatings projects.
- Conduct site visits to gather information for estimating purposes.
- Prepare detailed take-offs and cost estimates using estimating software.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure accuracy of estimates.
- Participate in bid meetings and present estimates to clients.
- Prepare and submit proposals to clients.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates and proposals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating industrial painting and coatings projects.
- Strong knowledge of industrial painting and coatings materials, methods, and equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to read and interpret project specifications, drawings, and plans for municipal water and wastewater projects.
- Candiate must be located in or willing to locate in Northern California.
