Safety Specialist

PolyTech Fibers LLC
Chatsworth, GA Full Time
POSTED ON 1/3/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 7/1/2026
Role Summary

The Safety Specialist supports a proactive, hands-on workplace safety program across two manufacturing facilities. This role spends most of the time on the production floor, working directly with employees to reinforce safe work practices, identify hazards, and drive continuous improvement. • Identify unsafe conditions or behaviors and take appropriate corrective action within training and authorization limits.
  • Support and maintain safety programs, policies, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Prepare and deliver safety trainings, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and new-hire orientation content in English and Spanish.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments; document findings and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Serve as the primary contact for workplace incidents and accidents, including on-call response, medical coordination, investigations, and reporting.
  • Monitor safety trends and recommend preventive measures to reduce risk and improve safety performance.
  • Work collaboratively with Maintenance, Production, HR, Leadership, and safety consultants to support safe operations.
  • Enforce safety standards consistently while maintaining professionalism, teamwork, and operational awareness
