Order Processor

The Order Processor is responsible for the labeling, packaging, and staging of Polymet customer orders.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, & Authorities

· Package and process all orders per customer specification reference sheet (SRS)

· Pick/transfer finished goods materials in 4th shift

· Stage shipments for daily pick ups

· Communicate with customer service and shipping to obtain specific customer needs

· Monitor consumables inventory and report needed materials to Production Manager

· Properly identify and stage scrap materials

· Create I.D. tags, labels, and bar codes for inventory

· Properly and accurately document processing information according to QMS guidelines

· Follow written work instructions outlined on work orders and QMS documents

· Properly allocate direct and indirect times

· Maintain a clean and safe working environment

· Follow all requirements of the Polymet employee handbook and safety policy

· Adhere to department schedule and work OT as needed to meet scheduled dates

· Understand and follow required Polymet Quality Management System (QMS) documents

· Assist with annual inventory counts

· Assist in other departments as needed

Qualifications and Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications and requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to do so.

Minimum:

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Strong attention to detail

· Basic computer skills

Preferred:

· 1-2 years experience in manufacturing

· 1-2 years experience in packaging, material testing, or shipping

Work Environment

The Order Processor will be working in an open warehouse environment with exposure to various weather and temperature conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to work on feet, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop. Regularly need to lift and move objects weighing up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, which is regularly required to view computer screen. Will be required to pass yearly exam.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
