Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our manufacturing team. You will support the Quality Department in reorganizing our QMS, performing internal audits, and ensure all incoming material, in-process production, and finished products meet our strict quality and safety standards. This role requires an experienced professional who thrives in a structured environment and possesses a strong eye for detail.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive quality audits across production lines to verify adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Perform detailed quality inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using established QA/QC procedures.
- Collect and analyze data related to product quality, process performance, and compliance metrics to inform decision-making.
- Ensure compliance Quality Management System (QMS)
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement corrective actions based on audit findings and inspection results.
- Maintain accurate documentation of quality control activities, audit reports, non-conformance reports, and inspection logs using Microsoft Office tools.
- Troubleshoot quality issues alongside the production and engineering teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing setting, preferably with exposure to plastic manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of quality systems including ISO standards (e.g. ISO9001) and Quality Management System (QMS).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data trends and identify root causes of quality issues.
- Proficiency in conducting quality audits and inspections with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications for data collection, reporting, and documentation purposes.
- Ability to work safely while using personal protective equipment (PPE) in manufacturing environments.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for reporting defects and writing logs.
- Proficient with standard measurement tools like calipers, micrometers and guages.
