About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Operations Specialist to support material tracking, procurement, and production coordination activities that drive efficient supply chain and manufacturing operations.
This role is responsible for managing purchase orders, monitoring material availability, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining accurate inventory and production data within the ERP system (SAP).
Working closely with procurement, warehouse, and production teams, the Supply Chain Operations Specialist ensures timely material availability, accurate system transactions, and seamless operational workflows. The role also supports inventory accuracy initiatives, operational reporting, and continuous improvement efforts, contributing to both day-to-day production efficiency and overall supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate procurement activities, including creating and releasing purchase orders (POs) in SAP for both local and international vendors, and tracking shipments through to delivery.
- Maintain up-to-date raw material pricing, supplier lead times, and minimum order quantities (MOQs) in the system to enable efficient procurement planning.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure supplier master data accuracy.
- Process material receipts in SAP, verify quantities with warehouse teams against POs, and close POs accordingly.
- Create, update, and close production work orders in SAP in alignment with the Master Production Plan; support daily production scheduling activities.
- Generate and coordinate raw material picking orders with warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability for production.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies impacting production; provide ERP-related support to production teams as needed.
- Support inventory cycle counts and broader inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Maintain and report daily production performance KPIs and operational metrics.
Key Expectations:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain operations, or manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Solid understanding of inventory management and production work order processes.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to task ownership.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Analytical problem-solving skills, particularly in resolving inventory and operational challenges.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data reporting tools.
- Demonstrated interest in process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
