LAB TECHNICIAN – Winter Haven FL
Polyglass USA, Inc ., a premier roofing materials manufacturing company, has an opening for a Lab Technician at our Hazleton, PA plant . Reporting to the Quality Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for sampling, testing, measuring, recording and analyzing production results. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with outstanding communication and organizational skills, and excellent computer skills. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.

General Responsibilities:
- Perform various tests to produce reliable and precise data to support production standard.
- Ensure products conform to known company and customer standards.
- Ensure that routine tests are performed accurately and follow strict methodologies to carry out analyses.
- Keep accurate records of results and interpret results to Quality Coordinator.
- Ensure proper preparation of specimens and samples.
- Maintain a safe working environment; follow all safety rules and procedures.
Education and Experience:
- Previous experience in a lab environment is required.
- Previous experience with ISO 9001-2008 is desired.
- Experience creating SOP’s desired.
- Knowledge of WW software platform preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word.
- AS-400 or other enterprise-wide system experience is preferred.
