Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to join our Quality Control team in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and executing CMM programs and be capable of working independently with minimal supervision. This position supports production by ensuring dimensional compliance of aerospace components to engineering and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, develop, edit, and optimize CMM equipment
- Perform dimensional inspections of aerospace components
- Interpret engineering drawings
- Verify conformance to customer specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve dimensional discrepancies in collaboration with Engineering and Production
- Generate accurate inspection reports and maintain quality records
- Ensure CMM equipment verification and calibration requirements are met
- Use precision measurement and calibration tools as needed
- Support First Article Inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections as required
- Maintain a high level of accuracy, organization, and accountability
- During slower CMM workloads, assist with additional quality-related projects and tasks
- Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of CMM programming experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong blueprint reading skills and understanding of GD&T
- Experience using precision measuring and calibration equipment
- Ability to work independently and manage workload without direct supervision
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good mechanical aptitude and spatial reasoning
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and to communicate effectively
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Own means of transportation
- Ability to lift 50 - 75 lbs.
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check required
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace manufacturing experience.
- Experience with GE Aviation or similar aerospace customer specifications
- Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems
- Experience supporting AS9102 First Article Inspections
- Experience programming with CMM Manager software
- Experience programming with Micro-Vu’s InSpec software
Work Environment
- Fast-paced aerospace manufacturing setting
- Combination of inspection lab and shop floor environment
- Extended periods of standing and occasional lifting may be required
- Occasional overtime or weekend coordination during peak delivery periods
