2nd Shift Production Worker / Machine Operator – Stone Manufacturing
Rock of Ages currently has an opening for a Production Worker / Machine Operator – Stone Manufacturing to join our operations on the 2nd shift at our Graniteville, VT facility.
Our teams work with high-quality granite to create custom stone products ranging from memorial pieces to precision industrial components for clients across North America and beyond.
We are hiring for multiple hands-on roles within our production environment, offering opportunities to learn and grow within different areas such as stone fabrication, assembly, and precision product finishing.
Depending on assignment, responsibilities may include:
- Fabricating and assembling custom granite products
- Operating equipment such as cranes and various hand tools
- Performing detailed inspections to ensure product quality
- Installing components such as inserts into finished products
- Preparing, cleaning, and packaging materials for shipment
- Assisting with large-scale stone projects and assemblies
- Operating Saws or Polishers
- Stone Cutting
- Sandblast
- Following all safety standards, procedures, and production guidelines
- Supporting team operations in a fast-paced environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a team-oriented production environment
- Attention to detail and pride in quality work
- Comfort with hands-on, physical tasks
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, or stonework is an asset
- Flexibility for occasional travel depending on role
Physical demands:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in an industrial production setting
- Use of lifting equipment or team assistance when required
Training:
We offer training that will advance your knowledge, skills, and abilities within the industry.
Working Conditions
- Employment status: Permanent / Full-time.
- Hourly rate: $21 to $30 and up, depending on industry experience.
- Additional $2.00/hr Night Shift Differential
- Additional 100% employer contribution to pension plan
- Schedule for 2nd Shift: 2:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., Monday to Thursday.
