Corporate Counsel
Location: Bedford, Texas (Onsite)
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Vice President. Legal & HR
We are seeking a Corporate Counsel to support our fast-growing, multi-division chemical manufacturing company in Bedford, Texas. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role with a busy workload, significant responsibility, and strong opportunities for long-term growth. The ideal candidate has strong executive maturity, is committed to developing within the organization, and can balance legal requirements with practical business judgment.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including:
- Supply and purchase agreements
- Distribution and reseller agreements
- Private-label, OEM, and white-label arrangements
- Contract manufacturing and toll-blending agreements
- Licensing agreements and NDAs
- Support general commercial transactions and provide strategic legal guidance to business leaders.
- Manage litigation matters, including coordinating outside counsel and overseeing strategy.
- Review and negotiate real estate leases and related property agreements.
- Advise on employment law issues, HR policies, and compliance matters.
- Assist with regulatory and compliance requirements for manufacturing and multi-state operations.
- Improve legal processes, contract templates, and workflows.
- Work collaboratively with multiple divisions, including operations, sales, procurement, HR, finance, and leadership.
Qualifications
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas, or qualified to work as in-house counsel
- 4–6 years of transactional legal experience.
- Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Experience with litigation management, general commercial transactions, real estate law, and employment law.
- Strong executive maturity, judgment, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment with a diverse workload.
- Strong business orientation and ability to deliver clear, actionable legal guidance.
- Work on-site at company facility in Bedford, Texas. Frequent travel to Arlington, Texas facilty. Occasional out of state travel as necessary.
- Preferred: Prior in-house experience, especially in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
