Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all concrete operations, including pouring, finishing, and curing processes, ensuring adherence to project specifications and schematics.
- Lead and manage construction crews, providing clear direction, training, and support to maximize productivity and safety.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to interpret project requirements accurately.
- Conduct quality control inspections to verify concrete mix consistency, proper placement, and finishing standards.
- Enforce OSHA safety regulations and conduct regular safety meetings to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with project managers on budgeting, resource allocation, contracts management, and procurement of materials using tools like ProCore or Bluebeam.
- Read and interpret technical documents including schematics, blueprints, and construction estimates for accurate execution.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for quality testing of electrical components related to concrete projects when applicable.
- Oversee subcontractors and suppliers on-site to ensure seamless coordination of pipeline work or other specialized tasks within the project scope.
Skills
- Extensive experience in construction site supervision with a strong background in concrete work and heavy civil projects.
- Demonstrated ability in construction management, project scheduling, budgeting, and managing multiple teams simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating processes.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols specific to heavy civil construction environments.
- Supervising experience with a focus on quality control measures for concrete placement and finishing.
- Familiarity with pipeline projects or other specialized infrastructure work is a plus.
- Excellent management skills paired with effective communication abilities to lead teams confidently while fostering a collaborative environment.
