Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Aerospace Quality Document Specialist to support quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and document control activities in a fast-paced aerospace special processing environment. This role is responsible for creating, maintaining, reviewing, and controlling quality documentation to ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory obligations, and industry standards, including AS9100, Nadcap, and customer-specific quality systems.

The successful candidate will support document control processes, quality record management, audit readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives while working closely with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, including procedures, work instructions, forms, specifications, and quality records.
  • Create, revise, route, and distribute controlled documents in accordance with established document control procedures.
  • Ensure all controlled documents remain current, accurate, accessible, and properly archived.
  • Support internal, customer, regulatory, and certification audits by preparing, organizing, and maintaining required documentation.
  • Enter, update, and maintain quality data within electronic document management and quality systems.
  • Maintain records related to First Article Inspections (FAIs), corrective actions, calibration programs, and other quality activities.
  • Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company procedures and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing personnel to ensure documentation reflects current processes and requirements.
  • Track quality metrics and maintain associated records and reports.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality system enhancements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Quality, Engineering, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • One to three (1–3) years of experience in quality assurance, document control, aerospace manufacturing, engineering support, or a related technical environment preferred.
  • Experience maintaining controlled documents, quality records, or technical documentation in a manufacturing or regulated industry environment preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with document control systems, electronic document management systems (EDMS), or Quality Management Systems (QMS) preferred.
  • Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes and quality assurance practices preferred.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100, Nadcap, ISO 9001, or other quality management standards preferred.
  • Experience supporting audits, corrective action systems, First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation, calibration records, or quality record management is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, record-keeping, and data management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn, interpret, and apply technical documentation requirements, customer specifications, and industry standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
