Polsinelli is seeking a Pricing Analyst. This role can be hired as hybrid, provided the candidate is in a state/jurisdiction wherein we practice.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow the rate approval process and generate regular status reports on complex client pricing arrangements; highlighting risks to firm management and initiating follow-up as needed.
- Collaborate with the Firm’s attorneys to develop pricing proposals and budgets. Identify pricing concerns and help navigate challenges due to client requirements.
- Evaluate historical data, trends, and available information about the future to formulate alternative solutions, with a focus on engagement, client, and matter profitability.
- Assist in the development of responses to Request for Proposals (RFP) and provide the financial/business impact to the management and executive leadership.
- Work with senior management to refine current work processes, develop new tools, and implement new ideas.
- Understand firm profitability models to provide scenario analysis and insights on what a deal costs to support pricing decisions for firm management.
- Supports the analysis of contingency fee cases, from initial approval assessment to monthly analysis of run rate against budgets/caps.
- Build effective working relationships with cross-functional support departments and team members.
- Work effectively with all Finance & Accounting (F&A) functions to deliver high quality, accurate, timely, seamless service to attorneys and clients, in accordance with established firm policies.
- Maintain high levels of customer service and responsiveness for attorneys, clients, and staff.
- Completing special projects on various issues as needed or when requested.
Employees approved for flexible work arrangements are expected to be available and maintain a practice of reliable, consistent attendance at all times during the employees scheduled work shift including, but not limited to, Jabber/instant message, Zoom, email and voicemail, and by phone.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Finance-related Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred
- 4-5 years of financial reporting and analysis experience
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail and quality
- Highly motivated with ability to drive results and work independently
- Strong analytical skills with good verbal and written communication/presentation skills
- Ability to work in a team environment with changing priorities and time pressures
- Highly proficient with advanced MS Excel functions
- Experience with SQL Reporting Services, Cognos BI, and SQL queries

The budgeted salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000.
