Polsinelli’s Chicago office has an immediate opening for a Licensing Specialist to assist its Healthcare group with regulatory compliance. This is an on-site position.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Compile and submit, in a timely manner, regulatory documents according to regulatory requirements
- Provide regulatory advice to project teams.
- Respond to regulatory authorities’ questions with strict deadlines
- Maintain regulatory files in a format consistent with requirements
- Develop and initiate complex regulatory project plans
- Maintain and update existing regulatory authorizations
- Represent Regulatory Affairs in project teams
- Review promotional material for compliance with local regulations
- Ensure that confidentiality of information is kept to a high standard
- Maintain current knowledge regarding application legislation, guidelines, and client practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to independent judgment
- Scientific knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of regulations
- Ability to multitask and meet demanding deadlines
- Technical system skills (e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, databases, online research)
- Ability to identify compliance risks and escalate when necessary
- Bachelor’s degree requiring the certificate program in paralegal studies or equivalent education helpful.
- 1-2 years of experience working in a regulatory environment or healthcare-related field is a plus

The budgeted salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000.
