What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd Shift CMM Operator position at Pollington Machine Tool, Inc.?
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Operator to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will operate and program the CMM to ensure the precision and quality of steel and aluminum components. 3rd Shift: 11pm-730am.
Core Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, and operate CMM equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to validate dimensions, alignments, and geometric tolerances
- Perform and document product inspections
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on CMM equipment
- Work with a variety of materials, including carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating CMM equipment in a manufacturing environment, preferably with steel and aluminum components
- Proficiency in CMM programming and software
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Knowledge of CNC machining processes and statistical process control (SPC), a plus
- Ability to work independently and with close attention to detail.
