Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Greet customers warmly, providing friendly and professional assistance throughout their shopping experience
- Manage cash handling duties with precision, including counting cash, giving correct change, and balancing registers at shift end
- Upsell products and suggest add-on items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Assist with merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining product presentation standards
- Conduct product demos when applicable, educating customers about features and benefits of select items
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
Requirements
- Previous retail sales or grocery store experience preferred but not required; training provided for the right candidate
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers and team members
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve our diverse clientele
- Basic math skills necessary for cash handling, POS transactions, and retail math calculations
