Position Summary
The Senior Take-Off Estimator plays a key support role within our Pre-Construction team by delivering accurate, trade-specific quantity take-offs that enable complete, competitive, and well-scoped estimates. This role focuses on one or more mechanical trades, plumbing, piping, and/or ductwork, and does not require experience across all three.
You will be responsible for reading and interpreting drawings and specifications, identifying scope gaps, and supporting the Estimator team with reliable quantity data. This position requires strong blueprint reading skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, in-office estimating environment.

What You’ll Bring
Skills & Competencies
- Trade-specific take-off estimating experience in plumbing, piping, and/or ductwork
- Strong trade-specific blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- Ability to understand specifications and overall project requirements
- Ability to review drawings from other disciplines to identify coordination items and scope gaps
- High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and completeness
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet bid deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively with Estimators and Pre-Construction teams
- Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Minimum 2 years of trade experience in at least one of the following: plumbing, piping, or ductwork
- Take-off estimating experience required
- Ability to fill in scope gaps and identify missing or unclear scope items
- Trade-specific blueprint reading required
- Ability to understand specifications and project requirements
- Ability and willingness to work in-office
- Proficiency in FastPIPE, FastDUCT, and/or FastEST preferred but not required
