Duties
- Greet customers warmly and identify their hardware needs through active listening and engaging questions
- Demonstrate hardware products effectively, highlighting features and benefits to enhance customer understanding and interest
- Assist customers with product selection, upselling accessories or related items to maximize sales opportunities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished regularly
- Conduct merchandising activities to promote featured products and seasonal items in an appealing manner
- Maintain accurate inventory records by stocking new products and managing stock levels efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Follow phone etiquette standards when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling appointments
- Support store operations by performing basic math calculations for transactions, discounts, or pricing adjustments
- Assist with grocery store-like environments when applicable, ensuring cleanliness and organization of hardware aisles
Skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain product features and benefits
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Proven supervising experience or leadership skills to guide team members during busy periods (preferred)
- Ability to perform product demos confidently to educate customers about hardware features
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Excellent phone etiquette for professional customer interactions over the phone
- Upselling skills to recommend additional products or upgrades that enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques to create attractive displays that draw customer attention
- Experience in stocking shelves and managing inventory in retail or grocery store settings is advantageous
- Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude and problem-solving mindset
