Essential Tasks:
- Listen earnestly to customer requests over the phone and occasionally in person responding to questions by providing information regarding the areas of misdemeanor, traffic, civil law, family law, marriage license, passports, and official records.
- Complies with Article V and departmental time standards; makes wise use of time. Demonstrates good organizational skills.
- Produces a high quality of work with minimal errors based on departmental standards. Remain focused on the detailed aspects of tasks in order to ensure overall quality of work
- Analyze State Drivers License information to confirm eligibility for license reinstatement. Research records in CCIS.
- Prepare criminal court dockets and attend criminal hearings.
- Prepare civil cases for court and attend civil hearings.
- Makes certain the court proceedings are recorded and accurately reduces the judge’s ruling to writing.
- Post all documents from court and prepare any post court documents required.
- Scan court documents and index accordingly meeting all time standards and accuracy requirements.
- Process efiling documents, perform all follow-up requirements, issue eviction defaults, process garnishment paperwork and close out/balance daily.
- Assist with scanning/rescanning of all document types and verifying citations.
- Multi-task and perform other related work as required
- Graduate of an accredited high school or possess an acceptable equivalency diploma.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage work to meet necessary time requirements and workload.
- Ability to accurately type 35 WPM.
- Ability to maintain attention to detail and to remain calm in an anxious, intense environment.
- Ability to operate a PC and/or mainframe-based systems.
- Proficient use of Word and the ability to learn industry-based software.
- Ability to remain flexible as conditions change and continue effective performance in the face of additional challenges.
- Ability to make quick, objective decisions.
- Knowledge of Florida statutes, County and Clerk's policies and procedures.
