Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing housing units to identify energy efficiency opportunities and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
• Perform root cause analysis on building deficiencies related to energy performance and structural integrity.
• Analyze building code compliance requirements and ensure all projects meet local regulations and safety standards.
• Lead project management efforts, including scheduling, resource allocation, progress tracking, and reporting to stakeholders.
• Use data collection techniques and data analysis skills to monitor project outcomes and optimize future interventions.
• Practice effective team leadership by coordinating efforts among contractors, engineers, inspectors, and community partners.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of project scheduling, project management principles, and systems engineering methodologies.
• Familiarity with building code analysis, building information modeling (BIM) tools, and building code compliance standards.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis using troubleshooting techniques within mechanical or electrical systems.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles relevant to construction projects involving residential buildings.
• Strong research skills coupled with laboratory experience or field data collection methods.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills for collaborating effectively across teams and stakeholders.
