Essential Functions:
- Perform assigned tasks cheerfully and promptly.

SECURITY TECHNICIAN III
Qualifications:

- Ability to work at various heights and in all weather conditions.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the trade.
- Working knowledge of IP and analog video management systems.
- Working knowledge of intrusion alarm systems.
- Working knowledge of access control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and written reference material.

$16.55/HP2

Essential Functions:
- Perform all responsibilities of Security Tech IV.
- Operate personnel lift and bucket truck as needed to assist Security Technicians to reach work site for repairs or installations.
- Repair minor malfunctions in building video, access control and intrusion systems.
- Properly fill out work orders and turn in on a daily basis.
- Work independently with limited direct supervision.
- Select and order material and hardware and make time and materials estimates.
- Prioritize, organize, and complete paperwork daily.
- Notify Foreman of problem areas in all Security systems.
- Maintain inventory of supplies.
- Respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
- Train and assist others in repair and operation of all Security Systems.
- Program or modify programs on all Security systems.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

SECURITY TECHNICIAN II
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language and follow written and verbal instructions.

Essential Functions:
- Perform all responsibilities of a Security Tech III & IV.
- Account for truck, material, time, tools and zone of buildings within the district.
- Assist with training of apprentices in the repair and operation of intrusion alarm, video management, and access control systems.
- Construct, modify, repair and replace intrusion, video management, and access control systems.
- Relocate and expand all Security systems.
- Troubleshoot and locate problems in all Security system.
- Coordinate work with other trades.
- Estimate jobs for time and materials; order materials.
- Inspect district facilities to detect needed repairs on Security systems.
- Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, etc.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
SECURITY TECHNICIAN I
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.

- Minimum 6 years’ experience in the trade.
- Complete working knowledge of intrusion alarm, access control and video management systems and codes involved with each system.
- Read, comprehend and edit specifications and prints for new construction.
Salary/Paygrade:
$22.43/HP4

Terms of Employment:
260 days
Essential Functions:
- Perform all responsibilities of a Security Tech II, III, & IV.
- Troubleshoot and locate problems in all Security systems.
- Construct, modify, repair and replace intrusion alarms, access control and video management systems.
- Estimate, organize, install and oversee building modifications, repairs and material needed for department.
- Secure and restart building equipment properly in the event of equipment failure.
- Maintain necessary records and paperwork needed to complete jobs in a timely manner.
- Update Foreman on progress of building modifications and work orders.
- Train and supervise other department staff.
- Plan ahead for department and district needs.
- Meet with manufacturer’s representatives and vendors to resolve problems associated with products.
- Meet with architectural consultants on new or existing facilities.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, etc.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions for all levels:
- Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds.
- Be available to work different schedules or shifts to accomplish tasks.
- Be available for after hour demands, subject to 24 hour responsibility.
