Job Summary


The Supply Chain Planner will report to the Associate Director, Manufacturing. The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining the production schedule, based on their coordination with supply chain and the clinical teams. This role will require communication with various departments throughout Polaris, clients, and vendors to develop an effective site manufacturing schedule for the complete production cycle of GMP products. This position will also support the long-range planning to integrate various projects into the production schedule and keep teams informed of changes. Advanced working knowledge and experience of a cGMP pharmaceutical site and the production cycle from raw material ordering through product distribution is a requirement. The individual needs to be an effective communicator and possess the skills to use and maintain electronic scheduling tools for the site.


Key Responsibilities


  • Responsible for the development, management and modification of daily production schedules.
  • Use of an electronic scheduling tool to develop and maintain schedule adherence and support long-range planning.
  • Develop a strong network and effective communication with the Polaris teams, and outside support.
  • Lead manufacturing planning meetings and daily operations huddle to ensure proper communication is being received.
  • Work with manufacturing and support groups to understand processing steps and duration to produce an effective schedule.
  • Support warehouse and quality to maintain clinical supply.
  • Use QAD inventory system to track raw materials, consumables and part needs against delivery timelines.
  • Schedule equipment down time with maintenance and QC support.


Required Qualifications


  • High-school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience as a planning and/or scheduling in a cGMP environment.
  • Knowledge of cGMP regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong computer literacy with advanced skills in MS project and office.
  • Critical thinking skills, initiative, integrity, and possess the ability to perform responsibilities without supervision.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written, verbal, and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • BA or BS is preferred.
  • Understanding of operational excellence, supply chain, raw materials and cGMP process.
  • Able to gown into cleanrooms in accordance with Polaris’ procedures.


Physical / Work Environment

  • This role is mainly a desk role requiring proper ergonomics.
  • The scheduler will be required to lift up to 30lbs.



Salary Range

  • $28-$33/hour
