SPARKCRATE
Currently in its funding phase, the SparkCrate project will bring low-screentime, affordable education enrichment opportunities to children worldwide. Whether they are homeschooled, worldschooled, or supplementing an in-person education, SparkCrate will provide self-directed opportunities for growth, creativity, and exploration. With distinct tiers and age/development groups, SparkCrate was designed to be used by the widest possible audience.
FIREFLY COMMUNITY SCHOOL
Launching by 2027, Firefly Community School is a private, flexibly priced schooling experience for learners with diverse needs and interests. Focusing on cultivation of self, community-building, and connection to nature, Firefly will utilize small group instruction and mixed-age classes to help learners realize that together, they can save the world.
Role Description
- Monthly board meetings held in the evening
- Accepting applications until positions filled
- Appointments begin in October or November 2025, lasting a year at minimum
Qualifications
- Leadership and strategic planning skills
- Experience in financial management or fundraising
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and governance
- Strong networking and community-building skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to commit the necessary time and effort for board meetings and responsibilities
- Experience in the education, healthcare, or nonprofit industry highly sought after
