Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to nursing staff and assist patients in their daily activities, ensuring a high standard of care is maintained. This role is critical in delivering quality patient care in various settings, including senior care, memory care.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Assist with mobility and lifting of patients as required.
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Perform basic medical tasks such as phlebotomy when necessary.
- Document patient information accurately using electronic health records systems like Epic.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with medical terminology and protocols during patient interactions.
Requirements
- Knowledge of physiology and medical terminology is essential.
- Previous experience in senior care or memory care settings is preferred.
- Ability to lift patients safely and effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent training is required.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing healthcare environments.
