- Sustain current processes to achieve greater line and parametric yields. Monitor current processes to ensure process complies with necessary parameters and provides a base line for any necessary process enhancements.
- Develop and transfer new processes to production. Provide pre-process troubleshooting, analysis of outcomes and feasibility of process. Ensure process meets design criteria.
- Write programs to test, monitor or process wafer.
- Monitor results of tests. Analyze visual and physical test data to determine disposition of a run, make adjustments as needed.
- Responsible for equipment maintenance, selection, qualification, and characterization, to ensure maximum operation.
- Set up and maintain documentation and statistical process control charts on all relevant processes.
- Review professional publications regarding current processes and process equipment for applicability.
- Analyze failed runs to identify the source of process errors and recommend process changes.
- Support company initiatives, such as quality, safety and environmental management, CQI, 5S, yield management, and cost containment.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Knowledge of semiconductor processing techniques and statistics.
- Skills in technical writing, computers, interfacing with people, problem solving and organization.
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, physics, chemistry or related field.
- Exposure to hazardous chemicals, lasers and radiation.
- Requires wearing clean room suit.
