Job Summary: Polar Beverages is looking for a Tier 2 / Senior Systems Administrator to support critical IT systems in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. This role handles escalated technical issues, keeps essential systems running, and works closely with the larger IT team to support company-wide technology needs.
*This is an in-office position, remote work will not be considered*
Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated tickets and production-impacting issues
- Troubleshoot servers, networks, manufacturing PCs, HMIs, and related equipment
- Work collaboratively with the larger IT team on projects, standards, and cross-site support
- Manage Windows Server/Linux environments and virtual platforms (VMware/Nutanix)
- Support Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra AD, and on-prem Active Directory
- Administer DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, and firewall configurations
- Monitor system uptime and resolve issues quickly to minimize production downtime
- Perform patching, updates, and maintenance within scheduled windows
- Support production-line hardware (barcode scanners, label printers, rugged devices, thin clients)
- Maintain backups and disaster recovery systems
- Document procedures and maintain accurate technical records
- Assist with infrastructure upgrades and new system deployments
- Mentor Tier 1 staff when needed
- Participate in an on-call rotation and handle after-hours emergencies
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in systems administration or advanced IT support
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Azure/Entra and/or Linux
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Azure AD
- Proficient with VMware or Nutanix/AHV/Prism
- Solid understanding of networking basics (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs)
- Experience supporting IT in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred
- Ability to work in a 24/7 production environment and participate in on-call rotation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver’s license and own transportation.
- Travel is required. Work overtime or on-call as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with MES, SCADA, or other manufacturing systems
- Intune, Manage Engine products, MDM Platforms
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools (EDR, MFA, SIEM)
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, VMware, Cisco)

Working Environment:

Salary : $95,000 - $105,000
