What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping position at Polar Beverages?
Responsibilities:
Must understand the company’s commitment to food safety, quality, and continuous improvement as outlined in the Polar Beverages Safety and Quality Policy and understand the responsibility for carrying out the outlined principles as an expectation of the job.
Follow direction of the Supervisor or Manager.
Able to adhere to and follow good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
To be responsible for any tools, such as a stapler, broom, etc. that are provided. Each employee will be held accountable for these.
Always wear proper protective equipment (PPE) when handling chemicals.
To promote cleanliness in all areas in accordance with specific assignments for the shift:
- Pick up all cans, bottles, and garbage off of the floors
- Garbage and recyclable containers should be emptied regularly
- Empty outside garbage containers as necessary
- Floors should be vacuumed and/or scrubbed as necessary
- Ensure that the entrances, hallways, offices, bathrooms, breakrooms, conference rooms and common areas are clean
- Clean production area aisles as necessary
Requirements:
- Employee must be capable of working a 9 hour day.
- Employee must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must frequently use hand(s) for repetitive movement single grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation.
- Must frequently bend, twist, squat, climb, and reach.
- Must perform light work, lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must have reliable transportation in order to travel between facilities as needed.
