RSU 16 is seeking highly-motivated candidates to apply for the position of Assistant Principal at Poland Community School. PCS has 400 PreK-6 students. The successful candidate will be a collaborative, innovative educational leader with the ability to communicate effectively, help lead the improvement of teaching and learning, manage multiple tasks and balance school-wide leadership with a working knowledge and understanding of elementary students.
The preferred candidate will possess:
A Master's Degree, Current and valid Maine certification as Assistant Building Administrator/Building Administrator (040) K-12, Successful teaching experience at the elementary level, Expertise in instructional supervision and evaluation, The ability to work collaboratively to foster a positive school climate, Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the effective utilization of technology and information management tools.
Salary commensurate with the experience and qualifications.
The expected start date for the new Assistant Principal is July 1, 2026
