Job Description
· Checking, Stocking, Prepping the service line with all ingredients, food, equipment, and containers based on business levels and par/prep lists
· Communicating with all other team members about the needs and readiness of the restaurant throughout your shift
· Tracking and updating prep and inventory lists throughout the shift
· Assist and support the cook(s) throughout the day to ensure that par and prep levels are appropriate based on expected and actual business levels
· Safely prepare, cook and store food, following our standardized recipes and food safety guidelines to ensure quality of the food we are serving
· Monitor the kitchen and restaurant for cleanliness, sanitation and safety throughout your shift
· Labeling and storing all food and ingredients in a clean and organized manner
· Washing, cleaning, maintaining and storing all equipment and utensils
· Adhering to all relevant food safety standards including Store policy, City, County and State guidelines for safe food handling
· Effectively and professionally communicate with team members, management, customers and vendors throughout your shift to maintain a productive and pleasant experience for everyone
· Interacting and serving guests on the service line throughout your shift
· For the safety of our guests and team members we require that all employees obtain a Maricopa County Food Handler’s Certificate and wear Slip Resistant Footwear whenever they are at work.
What will your day look like?
As an opening team member, you might show up to work and find that the kitchen is already bustling! You’ll come in and do an initial check of the restaurant/kitchen/service line to find any issues that may need to be addressed.
You will communicate with your team members that are already preparing and cooking the food for the day, and begin helping them complete these tasks to ensure that everything is in place and ready when we open the doors. You should be checking and helping to maintain the prep/par list as you stock the line and prepare food.
Making sure the service line is stocked with all food and equipment for the day is primarily your responsibility, take pride in thinking ahead! You’re preparation at this point is going to make everyone’s day go smoothly.
You will be responsible for interacting with the guests while preparing their food in front of them in our open kitchen service line, and be the smiling face that they remember when they leave!
As our business levels ebb and flow throughout the day you will be responsible for prepping, cleaning and stocking the service line based on expected and actual needs. You’ll be communicating with and helping your fellow team members to ensure that our prep lists are up to date and par levels are being maintained. Communication and cooperation will make your day successful.
As with all team members you can expect to help with cleaning, washing dishes and general sanitation throughout your shift including scheduled daily and weekly cleaning tasks, and make sure that your fellow team mates are well informed and prepared for the remainder of the day before your shift ends.
As a closing team member you would find yourself completing some additional cleaning and preparations for the following day per our daily closing checklist.
