Restaurant & Tiki Bar Server

The Server at The Pointe's Grill is responsible for serving guests in the grill or tiki bar, providing courteous and efficient service that meets or exceeds guests' expectations.

MUST BE 21 due to serving alcohol

Duties and Responsibilities

Supports a strong commitment to guest service and ensures an enjoyable dining experience for restaurant patrons.

Greeting all guests promptly and courteously.

Understands and executes established procedures for verifying guests' ability to legally purchase and consume alcohol and knows how to prevent a guest from overindulging.

Knowledgeable of bar drinks and food items

Effectively uses suggestive selling techniques.

Anticipates and Monitors guest needs

Records food and beverage orders, enters orders into a computer system, monitors the status of order preparation, and safely transports orders from the kitchen to the guest.

Collects monies owed for food and beverages and adequately performs all guest check accountability procedures.

Performs daily cleaning and maintains a clean and organized area

Performs food running and station set-up / break-down responsibilities as assigned.

EXPERIENCE - QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in and passion for consumer service
• Willingness to learn new skills
• An attitude of flexibility and mindfulness about the team approach
• Learn all menus and can communicate all food and beverage offerings
• Clean and clear service areas
• As explained to staff, please follow the proper procedures as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ability to memorize and become knowledgeable about menu items
• Completes training requirements and required certificates and follows service standards as trained.
• Must have at least 6 months' work experience in a restaurant serving alcohol.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Regularly walks and stands.
• Occasionally lifts to 50lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT:

Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Choose from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments.

Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a SmartServ Certificate

Job Type: Part-Time (Must be flexible to work varied shifts to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays)

Pay $8.00 - $11.00 per hour plus tips
