Job Overview
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Yard Crew Member to join our team and help keep our Marina operations run safely and efficiently.
This is a hands-on, outdoor position with an important role in the seasonal operation of our Marina. The ideal candidate enjoys physical work, takes pride in doing a job well, and is willing to learn new skills. Experience operating heavy equipment is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.
Duties
- Assist with hauling boats out of the water and preparing them for seasonal storage
- Help position and set boats safely and securely in the yard
- Assist with launching boats and preparing them for the water
- Operate or assist with forklifts, trailers, and other marina equipment
- Perform general yard maintenance and seasonal tasks
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Work closely with the yard team to maintain an efficient workflow
- Follow all safety procedures and directions from supervisors
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, travel lift equipment, and other material handling machinery safely.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety protocols and heavy equipment operation regulations.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique to ensure safety.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the flexibility to support warehouse operations as needed.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work outdoors in varying weather.
- Comfortable with physical labor and lifting.
- Heavy equipment experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
