Overview
Design antenna and waveguide-based RF structures with extensive experience in HFSS, and a strong background in simulation-to-measurement correlation at microwave or millimeter-wave frequencies
Responsibilities
- Perform full-wave electromagnetic simulations for RF channels consisting of antennas, waveguides, transitions, and passive RF structures
- Design, optimize, and validate high-frequency RF components and propagation paths
- Develop accurate EM models and conduct parametric studies using HFSS
- Correlate simulation results with laboratory measurements including S-parameters, insertion loss, and channel performance
- Debug discrepancies between simulation and measurement and improve modeling accuracy
- Collaborate with RF, antenna, mechanical, and system engineers to support product development
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with 3 years of relevant industry experience, or M.S. with 5 years of relevant industry experience
- Expert-level proficiency with Ansys HFSS
- Strong understanding of electromagnetics, wave propagation, antennas, and waveguide structures
- Hands-on experience with simulation-to-measurement correlation at high frequencies
- Experience with microwave and/or millimeter-wave systems
- Familiarity with RF measurement equipment such as VNA, spectrum analyzers, and anechoic chamber testing
