Summary

As a Direct Care Worker at Point Of Hope Inc., you will play a vital role in providing compassionate support to individuals with various needs. This position is essential in helping our clients lead fulfilling lives while promoting their independence and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and neurological impairments.
• Assist clients in daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
• Promote independence by encouraging clients to participate in decision-making processes.
• Monitor clients’ health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and care provided.
• Foster a supportive and respectful environment that upholds resident rights.

Requirements

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred.
• Strong caregiving skills and a compassionate approach to client care.
• Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy principles.
• Basic first aid certification is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
