What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Designer for Beverage Distributor position at Point Blank Distributing?
SUMMARY: Point Blank Distributing is a locally owned wholesale distributor of craft beer, cider and non-alcoholic products. We represent some of the most distinguished breweries in the industry. Our priority is service with an emphasis on building relationships with our customers and breweries.
We offer a very casual work environment within an exciting and fun industry. We are seeking a qualified individual to take over our graphic design department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Produce graphics for marketing, social media, or internal needs
- Edit and manipulate files to be print ready
- Complete special projects when requested by supervisors
- Design and print banners/posters for sales team, customers and suppliers
- Regular use of in-house plotter printer
- Ongoing web maintenance
- Monthly cover design for price book
SKILLS and REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 3 years of Graphic Design experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Understanding of and experience in corporate branding, layout, color theory, and typography in both digital and print media
- Passion for design with a strong portfolio of previous work
- An upbeat, can-do attitude, eye for detail and flexibility
- Good communication skills, both in person and via email
- Manage and execute multiple projects within tight timelines
- Ability to work independently in a production based environment
- Ability to troubleshoot and successfully resolve problems
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Beer/beverage industry knowledge is helpful, but not required
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's or equivalent work experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Use arms/wrists/hands/grasp
- Bend/stoop/crouch/squat
- Lift/carry up to 35 lbs.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4 pm
