Class A Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and the ability to manage routes effectively. The Truck Driver will operate different types of vehicles, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.

Duties

• Drive assigned vehicles to transport freight to designated locations.
• Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling of materials.
• Operate various types of trucks including dump trucks, tanker trucks, and roll-off trucks.
• Perform route driving efficiently while adhering to schedules and delivery timelines.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel use, and cargo details.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
• Utilize manual transmission vehicles when necessary for specific driving conditions.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations while on the road.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Truck Driver with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Familiarity with operating different types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and tankers is preferred.
• Experience in loading and unloading freight safely using forklifts or other equipment is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation skills.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is an advantage.
• A clean driving record with no major violations is required.
