Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. As a Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing expert advice on vehicle maintenance and repair services.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of service recommendations and repairs.
- Utilize your mechanical knowledge to assist customers in understanding their vehicle issues.
- Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, services performed, and parts used.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently.
- Stay updated on automotive diagnostics, repair techniques, and dealership policies.
- Assist in managing the service department's workflow to optimize efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous dealership experience is highly preferred.
- Strong background in auto service management or service writing.
- Proficient in automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge.
- Experience in upselling automotive services and products.
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures including oil changes, brake repair, alignments, and suspension work.
- Knowledge of diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, transmissions, tire service, and air brake systems is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to perform auto estimating accurately for repairs needed.
- Previous experience as a mechanic or service technician is a plus.
