WHAT'S THE ROLE?

The Senior Geologist reports to the Geology Superintendent and Geology Manager and is responsible for leading, coordinating, and actively participating in all underground diamond drilling activities.

This role ensures the accurate and timely geological delineation of ore bodies to support mine planning and production deliverables. Through strong technical expertise and operational leadership, the Senior Geologist plays a critical role in optimizing resource definition, supporting safe drilling practices, and delivering high-quality geological data to inform decision-making across the operation

Duties Include:

• Supervise and provide mentorship to the Project Team.
• Oversee the design and implementation of surface and/or underground drilling programs, including contractor management.
• Ensure adherence to the mine plan through timely delivery of critical Grade Control drilling.
• Supervise and assist the Project team in the identification and testing of extensional or new in-mine resources.
• Maintain best practice core logging, sampling, QA/QC, and data management practices.
• Communicate and/or critically assess the geology strategy for Growth looking for opportunities to improve the conversion of a resource to a mineable reserve.
• Communicate and/or critically assess geology and estimation models to identify gaps in knowledge or data and implement actions to address risks.
• Communicate and/or critically assess physical and cost tracking monthly.
• Work closely with Senior Geologist - Mine and Technical Services personnel regarding project feasibility studies and to ensure alignment with the LOM.
• Attend planning meetings to ensure accurate scheduling and timely delivery of geological models for input into the overall mine plan.
• Work closely with Senior Exploration personnel to ensure visibility and support between the Growth and Exploration teams.
• Drive ongoing geological improvement by analysing existing processes and implementing enhancements.
• Develop, manage, and communicate departmental KPIs.
• Implement effective training and development programs with a strong emphasis on safety, high technical standards, and continuous improvement.
• Independently deliver a budget across multiple projects that is achievable and aligns to the corporate growth strategy.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project budgets and timelines.
• Complete project work and presentations to a high professional standard as and when required.

Specific Requirements:

• A degree in Geology, preferably with a post graduate qualification, e.g. Honors from a recognised tertiary institution.
• At least 5 years' experience in the mining industry (majority underground), in structurally controlled gold deposits.
• Dynamic, high energy, self-motivated.
• Mining software skills.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute field programs with minimal direction
• Computer literacy - Microsoft Office.

This role operates on a 15 days on / 13 days off roster, with shifts of up to 12 hours per day or longer, based at a remote mine site.

The position requires the ability to work in challenging and dynamic conditions, including exposure to extreme and rapidly changing weather, dust, mud, varying noise levels, and fluctuating light conditions (including low light and artificial lighting), often within confined work areas.

Employees are required to reside on site for the duration of their roster in company-provided camp accommodation. The camp offers a range of facilities to support employee wellbeing, including:

• Private accommodation rooms equipped with landline phone, internet, and cable television

Wi-Fi is available throughout camp, enabling cell phone connectivity via Wi-Fi services.

The Company provides scheduled bus transportation to and from site, with services operating from Fairbanks, Delta Junction, and Tok, Alaska, supporting safe and reliable travel to the operation.
