This role is required ONSITE at PODS corporate center in Clearwater, FL (Monday - Thursday, Friday Remote.) In-office presence is important for cultivating a collaborative and innovative work environment. When people are together in the same space, they are more likely to build relationships, share ideas, and solve problems together.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bring new hires from the point of offer acceptance through their first days as a new employee, including background check processing, documentation collection, reporting and coordination with hiring manager and HRBPs
- Troubleshoot new hire issues along the way while working with a high volume of new employees.
- Answers general questions and inquiries about human resources policies for new hires, hiring managers and internal team.
- Maintains information systems pertaining to onboarding, prepares appropriate documentation, and processes necessary paperwork.
- Completes necessary WOTC related processes including missing documentation audit
- Maintain associate files, both hard copy and electronic.
- Demonstrates excellent active listening skills; restates needs to confirm understanding and asks relevant questions when necessary
- Checks own work assignments and reports for errors, missing information and other deviations; ensures consistent excellent work quality wit high level of attention to detail
- Maintains high professional standards of client and employee confidentiality.
- Supports larger HR processes, projects and initiatives by providing subject matter feedback
- Coordinate and assign ongoing tasks and responsibilities to Intern level associates
- Demonstrates knowledge of basic HR Management practices; demonstrates commitment to own development as HR professional.
- Performs other TA, HR, and Administrative duties as requested or required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements
- 1 - 3 years of experience in an entry level Human Resources role
- Talent acquisition support experience in the DOT compliance preferred
- Associate’s degree with course work in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field preferred
- Must be skilled in effectively managing multiple activities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Must have advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must be detail-oriented and task-focused in all work activities.
- Must demonstrate ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas, in both written and verbal communications.
- Must demonstrate superior customer service skills with clients and their employees.
- Have an understanding of when to raise questions or concerns
- Must take initiative with process improvements and furthering HR knowledge
- Must have basic knowledge of ATS and/or onboarding platform, UKG or Tenstreet experience is a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required.
- Travel requirements: N/A
- Climate-controlled office environment during normal business hours.
- May be subject to pre-employment criminal background check and/or drug screening as well as random drug screenings in accordance with company policy
