Hiring for a Facilities Lead. This position is responsible for ensuring safe, clean, and healthy facility environments for children, families, and staff. This role involves overseeing the upkeep of both our East Stroudsburg Center and our new location (Ramsey) in Stroudsburg, PA. This includes maintaining both buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure a welcoming and functional space. The Facilities Lead coordinates and directs approved maintenance and service contracts, performs general maintenance tasks, and ensures that all facilities meet current licensing standards and regulations, particularly those relevant to Head Start and nonprofit facilities. In addition to routine maintenance, the Facilities Lead manages the facility-related budget, schedules service providers for specialized tasks, and ensures the availability of necessary equipment and supplies. This position is responsible for conducting facility inspections, identifying hazards, and implementing preventive measures to ensure safety and compliance with health and safety guidelines. The Facilities Lead also develops and maintains up-to-date facility manuals, documenting procedures for maintenance, safety, and emergency protocols. This position collaborates with leadership teams and program teams to adjust physical spaces to meet organizational needs, including accessibility and room configurations. In the event of emergencies or special programs, the Facilities Lead coordinates logistics and ensures the facility always remains functional and compliant with regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of a High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 successful years in facility/maintenance work experience.
A BA/BS in Business Administration or related field and four successful years of maintenance, facilities, or operations in management and in supervisory experience preferred.
Full time/full year with generous benefits including health, vision, dental, training and professional development, staff wellness program, and paid time off including two weeks of vacation to start after completion of a 90-day provisional period.
