General Laborer – Pool Construction & Site Preparation
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and motivated General Laborer to join our construction team. This position will primarily assist with preparing job sites for in-ground swimming pool installations, along with supporting our crews throughout the construction process.
The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working outdoors, performing physically demanding tasks, operating around construction equipment, and taking direction from experienced crew members and supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Assist with general preparation of residential pool construction sites
- Assist with pool layout, excavation preparation, and site cleanup
- Move, load, and unload construction materials and equipment
- Assist with grading, backfilling, drainage, and general site preparation
- Assist with concrete preparation and other construction-related tasks
- Help prepare areas for pool walls, plumbing, electrical, and surrounding work
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Assist equipment operators and skilled tradesmen as directed
- Perform general labor and other duties necessary to keep projects moving efficiently
- Follow all company safety procedures and job-site instructions
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous construction, landscaping, excavation, or other labor-intensive experience is required
- Pool construction experience is a plus but not required
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must be physically capable of lifting and moving heavy materials
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions
- Dependable transportation and reliable attendance are required
- Must have a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Experience around skid steers, excavators, or other construction equipment is a plus
- Valid driver's license is preferred
