Pocketbook Hudson is a new prototype of experiential hotels in Hudson, NY. Occupying a full city block just off Warren Street, the hotel complex resides in a fully restored historic mill factory built in 1883. Embracing its generous space and industrious history, the property hosts 46 guest rooms and suites, a bathhouse and spa, evening restaurant, all-day café, a flexible event space, and a nightclub for revelry.

Role Summary
As a Front Desk Agent, you will provide top-quality hospitality services for guests that contribute to an overall exceptional experience from check-in through check-out and complete audits, as required. A Front Desk Agent contributes to the first impressions of our Guests and, therefore, must perform tasks to the highest standards. Provide a presence at the Front Desk overnight and assist in any guest inquiries or requests.
The Specifics
-Achieve positive outcomes from Guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
-Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette, including answering the phone within 3 rings, answering with a smile in one's voice, using the caller's name, transferring calls to the appropriate person/department, requesting permission before placing the caller on hold, taking and relaying messages, and allowing the caller to end the call.
-Speak to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate, and professional language.
-Ensure that both the Front Desk Manager and Front Desk Supervisors are kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests and/or other departments
-Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times
-Use the correct procedures regarding the acceptance of foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash in accordance with the hotel credit policy.
-Assist other departments, as necessary.
-Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way.
-Must have an upbeat, warm, and positive attitude.
